HaHa! Love the tags. We took our Std Poodle out for a spin in our '55 356 and put goggles on her. Very funny to see happy dog in goggles with ears and jowls flapping in the breeze.
Several people were concerned about not seeing the DistinctAV booth at the Indianapolis Home Show this year. It's true we opted to skip the show this year and only did a small "tech wall" in the Affordable Kitchens & Baths booth (#111).
DistinctAV…
I have an extensive I.T. background and a Mechanical Engineering degree. Wrote & sold my first software package at age 14.
Worked in pharmaceutical control systems for 17+ years. Owned NJ's largest independent Building Automation Controls business.
Contrary to popular belief, Rockwell Automation and Lilly recruited me to Indianapolis in 2002 from New Jersey. It's an urban legend that I ended up in Indiana because I lost a bet.
Since moving here with our two sons Steven (9) and David (7), Lynn and I are now officially "Breeding Hoosiers" and have a third son, Jason (3), who is our gift to the photogenic elite. We've very active in Cub Scouts and homework with the boys. Lynn is looking forward to having 3 really great Daughter In-Laws.
In 2004 I started DistinctAV, a custom home systems integration company that performs high-end installs anywhere in the U.S. I chose this as my 4th career because I wanted to do something creative and fun everyday saw a lot of neighbors struggling with poorly implemented systems. So far it has not let me down. I love what I do and we're continuing to grow. I joined BAGI in June 08 to work with more builders and developers and have already made many new relationships. In 2009 we won the Electronic House Magazine Home Theater of The Year ($25-$50k) First Place (May 1st issue).
My wife operates a drapery workroom and interiors consulting business, Trio Home Decor. We often work together on projects and have made amazing new friendships that started as clients.

Hey, Derek...That's great that you recycle! You should save your tabs for the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana. I'm trying to encourage all of the atGeist.net memebers to start saving their tabs. Imagine we could collect a load of them. Drop-off locations throughout the area will be selected soon. Let you know once they are in place.
