- Just another wacky and wild artist, working with an odd medium...Pop Tabs. Inspired by the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana's pop tab program. I love to create, and that's exactly what I do with the tabs. From jewelry and home decor, to some really wicked Indianapolis Colts pieces. Completely original artwork. Items that are for sale generate a donation to the RMH. Great way to recycle, along with giving back to a wonderful cause. Thanks to the RMH, I've been given the opportunity to meet some totally awesome people. Such as, Tony Dungy, Rupert, and other local personalities. It's so cool!!! Wire Tornado Project at Amy Beverland ELC
Thought I'd like to share my latest project with everyone. Recently, I was approached by a kindergarten teacher at the Amy Beverland Early Learning Center, to help with a weather project that her class was working on. She mentioned how she would like to make a tornado that the children could hang various items on. Immediately, a vision emerged. The tornado would be constructed of various gauges of wire. In regard to pruning your spirea and evergreens, anytime after they have gone dormant is fine. Try to get to them before they start their spring growth, at least by late February or early MArch.
Cut them back about 8 to 10" below the maximum you want them to be. If you want them to become 24", then cut them back to about 16 to 18". This allows for their growth in the spring.
